Tough Mudder Raises Funds for Loans
Board Member Katherine Pasternak recruited her brother Ken from San Francisco and Board Member Sarah Pasternak’s fiancé Nigel from London, England, to join her Tough Mudder team, from which they raised funds for Prosperity Rings. This 12-mile race, designed by the British Special Forces, puts its participants through an ice bath, hanging rings course and monkey bars, a crawl through mud under barbed wire, a dash up a steep wall, an electric shock stall, etc. — you get the picture.
The three of them were the Laci Stashe team, with shiny, gold mustaches on their black shirts, in honor of Granddad Laci, who was the half-mile national champ for two high school years in Hungary. Board members Derick and Nancy Pasternak and other family members gathered in Florida to cheer them on. They were awesome!
The proceeds from these races go toward the Wounded Warrior Project. In support of their effort in this Tough Mudder, our team also raised $1,140 from friends and relatives for our family foundation, Prosperity Rings.
