Chandra, Cultivating & Selling Flowers
The financial burden has been on me. My husband is sickly and my two sons left the family when they married. I joined in SHWET and took a loan of Rs 10000 to purchase a milk cow. Then I learned that Prosperity Rings will only support business activities.
Since I was doing very well, my friends wanted to join me. Deepam SHG already had 20 members, so I promoted another SHG with 15 members, and took a loan for flower sales. I go to the market early morning, make mala (garlands), and sell it on the street.
I was inspired by Prosperity Rings’ insistence on making a business plan, and took a third loan to lease land to cultivate flowers. I now send flowers to market as well as sell flowers to my own customers. I earn Rs 500 a day, thanks to Prosperity Rings’ guidance.
